Into the Outside

Words can’t describe the pleasure of having time to work slowly and carefully –  even to  be a bit bored, and sit and watch the world go by for five minutes. I’ve got five months to explore ideas for making a public artwork  which reaches out aesthetically to children as well as adults. Time to reconnect with the passion of making. Many people work to enable them to pursue their passions.  As working artists we often get caught up in other people’s cultural agendas to pay the bills.  It’s seven years since I had this quality of space to make. So, kind of sabbatical time.
